Well tomorrow, Tuesday, 01DEC is a big day, I swim in two events, the 100m Butterfly and the 400m Freestyle.
I am feeling great and swimming fast. I am really excited about the meet and ready to compete. My plans for tomorrow is to sleep in, normally up at 6:30 am, have breakfast around 9:30 am, relax and swim in the hotel lap pool. Then the hard part, shave my entire body, have lunch then start to focus and prepare mentally. I board a bus at 2:30 pm for the long hour ride to the competition site.
My first event is 100m Butterfly and that competition will take place at 17:07. The current world record, set in April 2005, is held by Enrique Floriano Millan from Spain with a time of 1:02.11 who is competing in this event and swimming in lane 6. My qualifying time was 1:00.36, seeded 2nd and will be swimming in lane 5. A new world record will be set.
My second event is the 400m Freestyle at 18:07. My qualifying time was 4:23.98, seeded 3rd and will be swimming in lane 3. No world record recorded for this event, so there will be a record set.
Wish me luck and keep me in your thoughts.
